I felt that this article deserved significantly more treatment, so I wrote more or less what I remembered (I did check my details). I'd like to see more information concerning what Tolkien himself said about the significance of the Two Trees (I'm sure there is material in Letters), if others consider this kind of material appropriate, but I gave it an honest start.
