A worthy addition. However, I wonder if the footnote "List of US television series - Many US Television series are filmed in Canada" is a) relevant or b) entirely true. Other than "Queer as Folk" (US) and "The X-Files" (no longer on air), I can't think of any regular US series that are filmed in Canada. Is "many" really the right word. Moreover, even if there are "many" that are filmed in Canada (and please enlighten me if I'm wrong), is this relevant enough to put here? The series are still US series despite their filming location.

Should Undergrads and The Oblongs be on this list? As far as I know they are both Canadian made (Teletoon). IMDB lists them both as "Country: USA / Canada" - sik0fewl 23:49, 23 Feb 2004 (UTC)

See, Liberlogos, you can't deny that Quebec IS a part of Canada. If you must, you can make a "List of English-language Canadian television series" and a "List of French-language Canadian television series" or something along those lines. I am a hardcore separatist and I think we owe it to the truth to have Quebec tv series included in List of Canadian television series. This is an encyclopedia and decisions must be rational and reflect the reality. I totally disagree with a complete merge of the two articles however. In my opinion, the most intelligent way is to this:

1. Have List of Canadian television series be broken down into provinces (the way it is right now), but have a Main article List of $province$ series under the heading.
2. Include some of the most known shows produced in the province and have the whole list of all tv shows ever produced in the province in the main article.

Eventually, the list will get quite long and it will be more readable like that. The separation between English provinces and Quebec is also not accurate. Although culturally speaking it makes a lot of sense (indeed, Quebec has its own national culture), the facts are that some English language shows are produced in Montreal, Quebec, either for Quebec and the rest of Canada or for Quebec's English-speaking minority (CBC newscasts for exemple).

After it approaches 32K, I think that the article should be split by language. Then when either one gets too "full", divide them by province.

What should I rename the sections to? Should I rename them English-language and French-language?

Well, the English language / French language division is quite artificial. I think we ought to stick to provinces and territories and not mix it with a language divide. I think the names of the shows will make it clear what is in French and what is in English. Evidently, the overwhelming majority of French language shows will be in Quebec.

I think it is sound to created articles for provinces in preparation of "growth". An empty List of Albertan television series might be just what is needed to catch the attention of someone who knows about tv shows produced in this province.

For a division by language, we can create another list, for example List of French language television series. This one could be alphabetically sorted and specifify the city/region/country it was produced in. This would make for better categorization I think. -- Mathieugp 15:09, 13 Sep 2004 (UTC)
