Talk:Jean-Baptiste Berthelin
|
Okay, so according to this article, Cochonfucius is a French scholar. And according to an addition that User:Cochonfucius (the creator of this article) has made to the article on Hofstadter's book Metamagical Themas, "Cochonfucius" is a pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Berthelin, one of the translators of that book into French. This page (http://www.limsi.fr/Individu/jbb/engstp.html) seems to confirm that "Cochonfucius" and Berthelin are the same person. It seems that Berthelin is a cognitive science researcher of some sort. He is connected to the Laboratoire d'Informatique pour la Mécanique et les Sciences de l'Ingénieur (http://www.limsi.fr/indexgb.html) (LIMSI), but my French is too weak to properly understand what he does. Perhaps someone better at French than I am can work out what research he does, and whether we can get enough information on him for an article. -- Oliver P. 09:03 13 Jun 2003 (UTC)
I'll take that minor edit to my above text as a sign that the rest of it is correct, then, M. Berthelin. :) -- Oliver P. 14:11 13 Jun 2003 (UTC)
Yes, thank you. --jbb
