TCS Ranger

The Ranger-class Light Carrier is a fictional starship in the Wing Commander universe. The first operational ship of this class, the TCS Ranger, was commissioned in 2584.
The Ranger-class carried 40 fighters and had 11 dual laser turrets and a capital ship missile launcher.
At least one example, TCS Victory (CV-40) is known to have survived the war. Victory was launched in 2634, and served during the notable Venice Offensive.
During the final Kilrathi offensive, she served as a rearguard to slow the enemy advance and also escorted TCS Behemoth on its failed attempt to destroy Kilrah. After that mission, she served as the testbed for the Temblor Bomb and then deployed the weapon against Kilrah. The Treaty of Torgo -- signifying the Kilrathi surrender -- was signed aboard her in 2669.
The class was supplanted by the larger Concordia class fleet carrier in 2634, which was similar in plan but larger (800 meters long vs. 720, with other dimensions scaled up appropriately). The only slightly larger Concordia class had twice the fighter capacity of the Ranger class.
