Sweet Baby James is the name of James Taylor's second album. It was released in December 1969 and features one of Taylor's earliest single successes "Fire and Rain". The release showcases the singer-songwriter's talents and shows the direction he would take in the early seventies with the expansion of his career.
In 2003 the TV network VH1 named Sweet Baby James the 77th greatest album of all time. It is number 103 on the List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
