A Street sweeper is a person or machine that cleans streets, usually in an urban area.
A street-sweeping person might use a broom, or water hoses, or both, to clean off litter and filth that accumulates on streets. A mechanical street-sweeper converts the broom to several rotating disks or drums covered in bristles, with which it sweeps away dirt after spraying the street with water.
Street Sweeper also refers to a semiautomatic shotgun manufactured by SWD, Inc. in the 1980s. The Street Sweeper featured a 12-round revolving cylinder magazine, folding stock, and pistol grip.
