Strömsund Municipality is a Municipality in Jämtland County, in north eastern Sweden where Strömsund is seat. The municipality covers an area of 10545.5 km², the sixth largest in Sweden. The population density of the community is 1 inhabitants per km².
Forest industry has traditionally been an important industry, but today tourism also has an important part. Like the rest of Jemtia, the nature is what attracts visitors, with its blend of forests, mountains, lakes and rivers.
