St. Mary of the Lake Seminary

St. Mary of the Lake Seminary is a Catholic college in Mundelein, Illinois. Founded about 1921, and it can handle about 400 students.
It is located north of Route 176 and east of Rt. 45, occupies 600+ acres (2.4 km²), has several lakes, and has a retreat center which is quite active.
Marytown is a Conventual Franciscan friary of the St. Bonaventure Province. At the Our Lady of Fatima friary, the Franciscan priests and brothers subscribe to the ideals of poverty, chastity and obedience according to their founder, St. Francis of Assisi. The friars spend regular hours in individual adoration before Jesus in the perpetually exposed Blessed Sacrament.
Marytown is also the national center of St. Maximilian Kolbe's Militia of the Immaculata movement, founded in 1917.
The adoration chapel is open to the public. It is patterned after St. Paul Outside-the-Walls, one of four Roman patriarchal basilicas. In addition to the chapel, St. Mary of the Lake Seminary also has conference facilities, gardens, and a gift shop open to the public.
