South Kensington (station code: SKN) is a small unmanned railway station with very basic waiting facilities on the Werribee, Sydenham and Williamstown lines in Melbourne, Australia, initially opened in 1891. It is located in Metcard ticketing Zone 1 and has 2 platforms.
The station has a small brick signal box on platform 2, which is normally switched out except when the communications link to Metrol fails. The station is bypassed by Sydenham bound trains due to the low patronage of the station. It has no shelters on platform 2, with a very basic shelter on platform 1, similiar to what is found at most bus stops.
