Somethin' Else
|
Somethin' Else (recorded March 9, 1958) is a 1958 album by jazz musician Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, regarded as a landmark hard bop album. This album featured Miles Davis. The collaboration between Adderley and Davis continued with Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, one of the most universally praised jazz albums in 1959.
The leadership of Adderley and the presence of Art Blakey drive a more to hard-bop style than Kind of Blue. Many critics think that Somethin' Else is at the same level of quality as Kind of Blue.
