Sokodé is the second largest city in Togo, with a population of 86,500 (2004). Located in the center of the country, between the Mo and Mono rivers, it is a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural areas.
Sokodé is home to the Losso people.
The town is home to Semassi F.C., while other attractions include Sokodé Old Grand Mosque and the annual Knife Festival.
