Sloan is a village located in Erie County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 3,775.
The Village of Sloan is in the Town of Cheektowaga and borders on the City of Buffalo.

History
The village was incorporated in 1896 from part of Cheektowaga.
Geography
Sloan is located at 42°53'40" North, 78°47'29" West (42.894458, -78.791353)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,775 people, 1,680 households, and 1,033 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,845.0/km² (4,755.6/mi²). There are 1,789 housing units at an average density of 874.4/km² (2,253.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.05% White, 0.21% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.16% from other races, and 0.32% from two or more races. 0.72% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,680 households out of which 24.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.5% are married couples living together, 12.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.5% are non-families. 33.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.25 and the average family size is 2.89.
In the village the population is spread out with 20.1% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 24.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 86.2 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $29,420, and the median income for a family is $39,863. Males have a median income of $31,679 versus $23,438 for females.
