Siros
|
- For the town in France, see Siros.
Síros is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. It is considered the "capital" of the Cyclades.
Demographics
Because of the Venetian domination from the Middle Ages onwards, the islanders used to be exclusively Roman Catholic. However, due to immigration from other islands, Catholics now constitute some 40% of the population.
