Shrewsbury Abbey
|
Shrewsbury Abbey, now famous for its prominent role in the Brother Cadfael mysteries of Ellis Peters, is a medieval monastic foundation. Part of the original abbey church is still a place of worship. Shrewsbury Abbey web page (http://www.shrewsburyabbey.com).
Shrewsbury Abbey is also the name for the small railway station, and later depot, which was opposite the Abbey. See the Shropshire and Montgomeryshire Railway article. It now is just a car park.
See Shrewsbury for information on the town.
