Sherborn is a town located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. It is in area code 508 and has the Zip code 01770. As of the 2004 annual report, the town had a total population of 4,552. The assessed value of the town for the Fiscal year 2005 is $1,008,146,994.
Sherborn shares its highly ranked public school system with the town of Dover. In addition to Dover, Sherborn is bordered by the towns of Natick, Framingham, Ashland, Millis, Holliston, and Medfield.

History
Sherborn was first settled in 1652 and was officially incorporated in 1674.
Famous Residents
Chad Urmston of the rock bands Dispatch and State Radio grew up in Sherborn and graduated from Dover-Sherborn Regional High School.
Geography
The town is located 18 miles southwest of Boston. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 41.9 km² (16.2 mi²). 41.3 km² (16.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.36% water, with much of that located in Farm Pond.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 4,200 people, 1,423 households, and 1,222 families residing in the town. The population density is 101.6/km² (263.1/mi²). There are 1,451 housing units at an average density of 35.1/km² (90.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.50% White, 0.38% African American, 0.05% Native American, 2.40% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.26% from other races, and 0.40% from two or more races. 1.12% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,423 households out of which 46.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.5% are married couples living together, 6.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 14.1% are non-families. 12.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.22.
In the town the population is spread out with 31.9% under the age of 18, 3.2% from 18 to 24, 22.9% from 25 to 44, 30.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 93.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.6 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $121,693, and the median income for a family is $136,211. Males have a median income of $88,677 versus $52,043 for females. The per capita income for the town is $58,055. 2.3% of the population and 0.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 2.4% of those under the age of 18 and 5.6% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
