Sharon Springs is a village located in Schoharie County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 547.
The Village of Sharon Springs is in the northwest part of the Town of Sharon on Route 10.

Geography
Sharon Springs is located at 42°47'41" North, 74°36'57" West (42.794783, -74.615946)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²). 4.7 km² (1.8 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 547 people, 204 households, and 130 families residing in the village. The population density is 115.4/km² (299.5/mi²). There are 270 housing units at an average density of 57.0/km² (147.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.62% White, 0.73% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.46% from two or more races. 1.83% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 204 households out of which 30.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% are married couples living together, 6.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.8% are non-families. 29.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.42 and the average family size is 3.03.
In the village the population is spread out with 23.4% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 23.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 83.0 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $37,969, and the median income for a family is $45,000. Males have a median income of $36,563 versus $28,125 for females. The per capita income for the village is $24,664. 12.1% of the population and 8.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 23.4% of those under the age of 18 and 4.3% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
