Seth Ward is a census-designated place located in Hale County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,926.
Geography
Seth Ward is located at 34°12'45" North, 101°41'46" West (34.212421, -101.696088)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²). 4.2 km² (1.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 1,926 people, 586 households, and 467 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 461.9/km² (1,198.7/mi²). There are 693 housing units at an average density of 166.2/km² (431.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 60.02% White, 3.63% African American, 1.04% Native American, 0.05% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 32.76% from other races, and 2.49% from two or more races. 64.07% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 586 households out of which 48.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% are married couples living together, 16.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.3% are non-families. 16.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.29 and the average family size is 3.69.
