Seance on a Wet Afternoon is a 1965 film which tells the story of a self-described psychic who convinces her husband to kidnap a child so that she can gain fame by using her "psychic abilities" to find the girl. It stars Kim Stanley and Richard Attenborough.
The movie was adapted by Bryan Forbes from the novel by Mark McShane. It was directed by Forbes.
It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress (Kim Stanley).
Seance on a Wet Afternoon was remade in 2000 as the Japanese language horror film Korei.
