High Schools
Scotch Plains home to three high schools and a vocational school. Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School is the main public school for both Scotch Plains and Fanwood, serving nearly 1300 students. The Union County Magnet School is also based in Scotch Plains. The Magnet School is publicly funded by the combined taxes of Union County towns and townships. It has approximately 260 students, of whom must apply to enter the school.
