Saving Private Lynch
|
Saving Private Lynch is a made-for-tv movie that aired on NBC on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, featuring Canadian actress Laura Regan in the title role. The movie begins with the ambush of Jessica Lynch's convoy in the middle of an Iraqi city and follows a version of events that credits an Iraqi citizen, Mohammed Odeh al Rehaief, with being responsible for helping to arrange a daring rescue by US special forces.
Although the movie was based on a true story, many of the circumstances of the rescue have been challenged by the media [1] (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/correspondent/3028585.stm) as well as by Lynch herself.
