Saukville is a village located in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 4,068. The village is located mostly with the Town of Saukville. A tiny portion extends into the adjacent Town of Port Washington.

Geography
Saukville is located at 43°22'52" North, 87°56'40" West (43.38137, -87.944578)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 7.8 km² (3.0 mi²). 7.7 km² (3.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.66% water.History
Saukville was established on April 4, 1848 along the Milwaukee River. Previously, it was part of the old Port Washington area. Settlers began living in the area as early as 1845 and 1846. Before the white settlers came to the Saukville, the area was inhabited by the Native Americans, including the Sauk tribe.
Some of the first settlers to Saukville were: Lott Blanchard, George C. Daniels, Joseph Fischbein, William Foster, Joseph Fowler, Stephen McIntosh, William Payne, Lemuel Sezer, Jonathan Tibetts and E. Wadsworth.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,068 people, 1,583 households, and 1,104 families residing in the village. The population density is 527.1/km² (1,366.3/mi²). There are 1,639 housing units at an average density of 212.4/km² (550.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.42% White, 0.57% Black or African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.61% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 0.93% from two or more races. 2.19% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,583 households out of which 38.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% are married couples living together, 10.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% are non-families. 24.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.56 and the average family size is 3.07.
In the village the population is spread out with 27.5% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 7.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 103.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.5 males.
The median income for a household in the village is $53,159, and the median income for a family is $62,436. Males have a median income of $41,625 versus $28,583 for females. The per capita income for the village is $22,035. 3.1% of the population and 1.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 3.4% of those under the age of 18 and 9.5% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
