Santa Ana Pueblo is a census-designated place located in Sandoval County, New Mexico. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 479.
Geography
Santa Ana Pueblo is located at 35°20'44" North, 106°31'24" West (35.345446, -106.523309)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 19.3 km² (7.4 mi²). 17.9 km² (6.9 mi²) of it is land and 1.4 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 7.11% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 479 people, 121 households, and 99 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 26.7/km² (69.2/mi²). There are 132 housing units at an average density of 7.4/km² (19.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 1.25% White, 0.00% African American, 97.29% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.84% from other races, and 0.63% from two or more races. 2.51% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 121 households out of which 43.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.3% are married couples living together, 31.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.4% are non-families. 14.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.96 and the average family size is 4.42.
