A Samosa is a South Asian food item. It is a fried food. It generally consists of triangular pastry shell with Potatoes and Pea stuffing, other stuffings are also used. It is spicy and is often eaten with chutney.
Samosas originated in North India and are common throughout India and Pakistan.
The Samosa resembles the knish of Ashkenazic Jewish cuisine, although there is no known historical link between the two.
