Samburu District

Samburu District is an area of roughly 8000 square miles (21,000 km²) in northern Kenya where the Samburu tribe live. It streches north from the Wuaso Ng'iro River to the south of Lake Turkana and also includes Mount Kulal which lies just east of Lake Turkana.
Within Samburu district you will find the towns of Maralal, Baragoi, Archers Post, South Horr, Wamba and Lodosoit.
It also includes the Samburu National Reserve and Buffalo Springs National Reserve, Mount Ng'iro, Ndoro Mountains, Ol Doinyo Lenkiyieu (Mathews Range), Kirisia Hills, and Loroki Forest.
