There are 1,166 housing units at an average density of 84.9/km² (220.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.07% White, 0.07% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.27% Pacific Islander, 1.40% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races. 2.79% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,128 households out of which 56.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.3% are married couples living together, 5.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 10.5% are non-families. 9.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.86 and the average family size is 4.14.
