Saint Francis Xavier University is a university located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
It is known worldwide by its famous symbol the X-Ring and is the alma mater to former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Other noted alumni are Alistair MacLeod, Allan MacEachen and John Keiller MacKay. It was ranked the #1 undergraduate university in Canada 3 years in a row (2002,2003,2004) by [Maclean's] magazine. It has been ranked the #1 in alumni support for four years (2001,2002,2003,2004) in Canada.

Athletics
St. Francis Xavier is represented in Canadian Interuniversity Sport by the St. Francis Xavier X-Men and the St. Francis Xavier X-Women.
Student's Union
The StFX Students' Union is based in the Bloomfield Centre. The Union has been set up to defend the rights of all X students. The X union is unique in that it provides the most comprehensive system of student services in all of Canada. Students have a bus service, drivehome service, free tutoring, a help line, off campus housing aid, environmental services, student lawyers, a food bank, and a darkroom. They also organize and coordinate the well known "X-Ring" ceremony each year.
