Saint-Lambert, Quebec

Saint-Lambert, Quebec is a borough of the city of Longueuil, on the south shore of Montreal, and on the bank of the St. Lawrence River. It was an independent city until January 1, 2002, when it was merged with Le-Moyne into the new Longueuil mega-city. There has been a strong "de-merger" movement and a referendum was won in June 2004 to reestablish the former city.
