The Saikyo Line (埼京線; -sen, lit. Saitama and Tokyo Line) connects the city of Saitama to western Tokyo. It runs parallel to the Tohoku Main Line (Keihin-Tohoku Line/Shonan-Shinjuku Line/Tohoku Line) before entering Tokyo.
At the northern end of the line some trains continue as far as the city of Kawagoe on the Kawagoe Line. At Osaki, some Saikyo Line trains continue onward to the Tokyo Waterfront Railway.
