Saga (mythology)
|
In Norse mythology, Saga (alternately, Laga) is a goddess of the Aesir, and may be another name for Frigg. Like Frigg, she is a wife and drinking companion of Odin. She is a goddess of poetry, songs, and history.
She lives in the crystal hall of Sokkvabekkr, "hall of the sunk benches" (possibly a ship).
The name could mean "seeing one" or (less probable) "announcer".
