SEAT Marbella
|
The SEAT Marbella is a badge-engineered Fiat Panda, produced by SEAT from 1986 until 1998. This car is basically a Seat Panda with almost no change, but changing name because of broken FIAT relationship.
Mechanically, it borrowed heavily from the Fiat parts bin, using engines and transmissions from the Fiat 127.The motor is a 4 cylinder in line with 40 horsepower (30 kW) and 903 c.c. Very robust, and enough for this light car (about 700 kg). Due to the long history of this motor. Lastest models are said to be almost unbreakeable in normal use.
Several different labeled models (Marbella L, Marbella Special, Marbella GL, Marbella GLX, etc...) with no change in motor or car details, came from its lifetime.
