Ryan Starr (born Tiffany Montgomery on November 21, 1982 in Sunland, California)1 is an American female singer who ranked seventh on the first season of the talent search television series American Idol.
An early favorite to win the competition, she faltered in later appearances and was voted out one week after a tone-deaf performance of The Kinks classic "You Really Got Me".
Shortly after her run on American Idol, Starr made a guest appearance on the popular FOX network comedy That '70s Show, leading to brief and unsubstantiated rumors that FOX would develop a show to capitalize on her popularity with young males. In 2004, she starred in the third season of the reality show The Surreal Life on VH1.
She is said to be pursuing her goal of marketing a line of clothing fashioned after the ripped and torn garments she sported on American Idol.
Note 1: Though IMDb lists Pasadena as her place of birth, her official website and Idol profile both list Sunland.
