Ryan Reynolds (born October 23 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian actor.
Ryan is the youngest of four children and is 6'2". Ryan is probably best known for the movie Van Wilder by National Lampoon, though he also starred for three years in the American TV series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place playing med student Michael Bergen (nicknamed Berg). Ryan Reynolds also had a cameo in 2004's Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle playing a male nurse. Ryan has also appeared in the Canadian production Foolproof (2003) and The In-Laws, with Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks. In 2004, he co-starred in the action/horror flick Blade: Trinity, as Hannibal King. His latest film role sees him playing George Lutz in the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror.
In December 2004, David Goyer (writer of the Blade trilogy and Batman Begins) announced plans to write and direct a major motion picture starring Reynolds as the Wally West version of the Flash. The film will be released by Warner Bros. sometime in 2006.
He is engaged to marry singer Alanis Morissette, with whom he lives with in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in the penthouse suite of newly-built apartment buildings downtown and in Los Angeles, California, USA.
