Rushall railway station (station code: RUS), opened in 1927, is on the Epping line in Melbourne, Australia. It is located at the end of Falconer Street, in a small cul-de-sac after the intersection of Rushall Crescent, in the suburb of Fitzroy North. It backs up against the Merri Creek, but is connected to Westgarth by a 80 m long narrow bridge for pedestrians and cyclists. This forms part of a pleasant east-west cycle route, which requires widening to accommodate people and bicycles as it passes underneath the station.
It is in Metcard ticketing Zone 1. It is located 6.1km from the city centre by rail. As it is not a premium station, Rushall is unmanned, with few facilities.
Rushall is arranged with two platforms either side of dual railway tracks, connected by an underpass. Each platform has a small station building. As it is somewhat isolated, due to access problems caused by the neighbouring enclave of the Old Colonists' Association and the Merri Creek, Rushall station tends to be little-used. However, very few trains bypass the station.
Rushall once played a larger role in the Melbourne rail system, as it was the eastern end of the Inner Circle, which passed between Rushall and Royal Park.
Both the Inner Circle walking trail, which passes along the reservation of the old line, and the Merri Creek walking trail, pass through the station.
Melbourne indie band Underground Lovers wrote a song named Rushall Station, about the quietness of the site, which then became the title track for an album.
