Risa

Risa is a fictional planet in the Star Trek universe, renowned as a pleasure resort and frequently used by Starfleet members (including Commander Riker and Captain Picard of the Enterprise-D) for shore leave since the 22nd century. The planet orbits several suns and it's climate is controlled by a weather modification network (the natural climate is extremely stormy). The people of Risa (especially the women) are extremely open and will freely share their planet (and even themselves) with vacationers - a practice known as "Jamaharon."
During a trip to Risa, Worf came to meet a group of revolutionaries who believed that Risa was a waste of resources and that the Federation should focus more on fighting the Dominion. Worf helped them disable the weather net, but soon came to realize that the Federation troops did need the planet as a diversion from the stresses of the war and reinitialized the net.ja:ライサ Template:ST-stub
