Ripley CDP is hamlet (and census-designated place) (CDP) located within the Town of Ripley in Chautauqua County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,030. The United States Census Bureau uses the CDP designation to provide separate demographic detail that describes the relatively more dense population within the settlement of Ripley, as contrasted with the town as a whole.

Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 1,030 people, 418 households, and 285 families residing in the community. The population density is 290.3/km² (753.0/mi²). There are 455 housing units at an average density of 128.2 persons/km² (332.6 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.35% White, 0.29% African American, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 0.19% from other races, and 1.07% from two or more races. 1.55% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 418 households out of which 28.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.9% are married couples living together, 10.5% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 31.8% are non-families. 26.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.46 and the average family size is 2.97.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 17.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.2 males.
