Richburg is a village located in Allegany County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 448.
The Village of Richburg is partly within the boundaries of the Towns of Wirt and Bolivar. The village is located at the junction of Routes 40 and 275.

Richburg was incorporated in 1881.

The Little Genesee Creek flows through the village.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.4 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 448 people, 161 households, and 121 families residing in the village. The population density is 188.0/km² (484.5/mi²). There are 191 housing units at an average density of 80.2/km² (206.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.88% White, 0.45% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.22% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 161 households out of which 41.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.6% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.8% are non-families. 20.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.78 and the average family size is 3.23.
In the village the population is spread out with 31.0% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 18.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 89.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.6 males.
