Republican Left (Spain)
|
Template:Politics of Spain The Republican Left (Izquierda Republicana) is a Spanish political party. The party is the successor of the Republican Action (Acción Republicana), established in 1926 by Manuel Azaña. This party merged in 1934 with a Galician regional party and a faction of the Radical Socialist Republican Party into the Republican Left. It was banned in 1939, though there are attempts to revive the party after 1976. The present-day party is the result of such an attempt.
