Reinventing Axl Rose
|
Reinventing Axl Rose is Against Me!'s first full length album. It was released on No Idea Records, fronted by former band member Jordan Kleeman. The album's cryptic title appears to be in reference to the growing culture of corporate rock, and more specifically the "comeback" concerts cancelled that year (2001) by Guns n' Roses lead singer, Axl Rose. The album contains many songs that were previously unrealeased, such as "Eight Full Hours of Sleep", and several old fan favorites, such as "Baby, I'm an Anarchist", and "Jordan's First Choice". The album's title track is a stirring anthem of DIY Anarcho-punk values and dreams. Reinventing Axl Rose is generally regarded among the band's fan base and critics in the punk-rock milieu as being their best album.
