Ray Ozzie

Ray Ozzie (born November 20, 1955) is an innovative and influential American computer programmer who is best known for writing the first versions of Lotus Notes software, later bought by IBM. After leaving IBM/Lotus, Ozzie founded a company called Groove Networks to work on software to help people work effectively in groups. He is now one of three Chief Technical Officers at Microsoft, following its acquisition of Groove in 2005.
He received his bachelor's degree in computer science in 1979 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he worked on the PLATO system.
