Ratchet & Clank (series)

Ratchet and Clank is a video game series for the PlayStation 2. The games are 3D platformers developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony. The games are Ratchet & Clank, released in America November 4, 2002, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, released November 11, 2003, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal, released in America November 2 2004. The British version of 'Going Commando' was called 'Ratchet and Clank: Locked and Loaded'. Ratchet: Deadlocked is the next game in the series, currently scheduled for a November 2005 release.
The game's two main characters are Ratchet, a Lombax mechanic, and Clank, a robot that was originally designed for destruction, but due to an error, does the opposite of his originally intended purpose. Ratchet is controlled by the player for the majority of the game, using a variety of weapons, usually guns, to eliminate opponents. At times, Clank becomes playable for short sequences. The currency of the game's worlds are bolts, and the health unit is nanotech.
