The Rajapalayam is an Indian breed of dog. It is found mainly in the southern parts of India. It is also known as the Paleiyakaran or Poligar Hound.
It is a pedigree breed. Its population is concentrated in the place called Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar Dist in Tamil Nadu.
It is a strong and ferocious breed of dog. Because its population is becoming less and less, it is possible that it could become extinct unless devotees manage to increase interest in the breed.
