Quantico Station is a census-designated place located in Virginia. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 6,571.
Geography
Quantico Station is located at 38°30'7" North, 77°18'21" West (38.501951, -77.305962)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 21.1 km² (8.1 mi²). 18.5 km² (7.2 mi²) of it is land and 2.6 km² (1.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 12.27% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 6,571 people, 1,389 households, and 1,351 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 354.8/km² (918.9/mi²). There are 1,645 housing units at an average density of 88.8/km² (230.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 73.25% White, 16.01% African American, 0.46% Native American, 2.15% Asian, 0.15% Pacific Islander, 3.91% from other races, and 4.08% from two or more races. 9.37% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,389 households out of which 77.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 91.3% are married couples living together, 4.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 2.7% are non-families. 2.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 0.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.57 and the average family size is 3.57.
