Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 708 people, 273 households, and 200 families residing in the village. The population density is 111.1/km² (287.4/mi²). There are 308 housing units at an average density of 48.3/km² (125.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.60% White, 0.42% African American, 1.13% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.28% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. 1.27% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 273 households out of which 40.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.5% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% are non-families. 25.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.59 and the average family size is 3.12.
In the village the population is spread out with 29.9% under the age of 18, 11.3% from 18 to 24, 25.6% from 25 to 44, 20.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
