Principal Flutie (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

Principal Robert ("Bob") Flutie is a fictional character in the U.S. television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, played by Ken Lerner.
Introduced in season one, episode one, "Welcome to the Hellmouth", he is eaten alive by possessed students in episode six, "The Pack".
Unlike the principal who replaces him after his death, Principal Snyder, Flutie was dedicated to helping the students and was almost a parody of the principal who just wants to "understand his students better." It is likely that his character is a satire on the liberal view of "student-centered" education in which supposed educators are more concerned with self-esteem, socialization programs, and touchy-feely pop psychology issues than they are with students' educations.
