Principal Snyder

Principal Snyder is a fictional character in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, played by Armin Shimerman.
Introduced to Buffy's school, Sunnydale High, after the death of Mr. Flutie, the previous principal, Snyder's strict discipline and dictator-like personality earned him no friends among the Scooby Gang. In particular, he had a strong dislike for Buffy herself, and viewed her activities as so disruptive that he tried to have her expelled. However, a near-violent encounter with Giles changed his mind. It was revealed gradually during season 2 that Snyder was also aware of the Hellmouth and was one of the many people that the Mayor had put in place along with the chief of police to cover up the unusual activity that occurred over it.
Snyder was eaten in the last episode of season three, "Graduation Day", after loudly complaining that the behaviour of Mayor Wilkins, who had just turned into an enormous snake, was unacceptable.
Snyder made his final appearance in the season four finalé "Restless", taking the role of Colonel Kurtz in Xander's "Apocalypse Now"-themed dream.
