Polar easterlies

The polar easterlies are the prevailing winds that blow from the high-pressure area of the polar highs towards the low-pressure area of the polar front at around 60 degrees latitude. Unlike the westerlies further south in the middle latitudes, the polar easterlies are often weak and irregular.
