Paul McDermott is an Australian musical comedian and television host. His first major appearance was as a member of the Doug Anthony All Stars, along with Tim Ferguson and Richard Fidler, on the ABC shows The Big Gig, where they quickly gained a following, and their own show DAAS Kapital. Recent works have included breakfast radio on Triple J, and as a host for Good News Week, which was shown on the ABC from 1996 to 1998, and on Network Ten from 1999 to 2000.
Paul appeared in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival starting from 2002 with Cameron Bruce and Mick Moriarty in a music based comedy trio called GUD. Since 2003 they have also performed in the Comedy Festival Gala. Their 2003 show, Gud Ugh, won The Age Critic's Choice Award for best show of the festival.
