Patriot League
The Patriot League is a college athletic conference which operates in the northeastern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I-AA for football and Division I for all other sports. There are eight football members and eight members for basketball and other sports.
The Patriot League was profiled in the John Feinstein book, The Last Amateurs. In it, Feinstein followed all the league's men's basketball teams during the 1999-2000 season.
There are eleven partial or full-time member schools:
- American University [non-football member]
- United States Military Academy [Army] [non-football member]
- Bucknell University
- Colgate University
- Fordham University [football-only member]
- Georgetown University [football-only member]
- College of the Holy Cross
- Lafayette College
- Lehigh University
- United States Naval Academy [Navy] [non-football member]
- Villanova University [member only in women's lacrosse]
