Patrick Harrington

Patrick "Pat" Harrington (1964) is a British leader of the Third Way (UK).
Born in Kennington, he hit the headlines in the early 1980s, due to his National Front membership whilst studying for a Philosophy degree at Polytechnic of North London. Protests ensued until he completed his degree and went on to become a leading member of the party until an internal schism.Harrington had been at the forefront of the Political Soldier movement. He joined others to form the Third Way (UK) in 1990. The Third Way advocates co-operative ownership and direct democracy. It recruits from all religious and ethnic communities. Pat Harrington currently works in the railways although he holds a teaching qualification from the University of Greenwich and is a committed vegetarian. His political outlook seems to have moved towards a form of socialism.
