Patricia Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma

Patricia Edwina Victoria Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma (born February 14, 1924), née Patricia Mountbatten, succeeded her father, the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, when he was assassinated in 1979. Her official style is 2nd Countess, not 1st, as the ordinals are assigned regardless of gender.
She was married on October 26, 1946 to John Ulick Knatchbull, 7th Baron Brabourne. They had 5 sons and two daughters, the youngest sons being the twins Nicholas Timothy Charles Knatchbull (18 November 1964-27 August 1979) and Timothy Knatchbull (18 November 1964-).
Her son Nicholas Knatchbull was one of the victims of the assassination of Louis Mountbatten of Burma, her father and his grandfather. Her eldest son, Norton Knatchbull, is styled Lord Romsey.
